The Mississauga Santa Claus Parade is coming to Town!
Candy Canes, Elves, Gingerbread Men, Reindeer…these are few of our favourite things!

On Sunday, November 27th, the Village of Streetsville will host the Mississauga Santa Claus Parade.  Beginning at 12:50 p.m. the parade will travel down Queen Street South through the historic Village of Streetsville, and include over 75 entries with lots of our favourite things!!

This year the parade will see many returning bands including the 845 Avro Arrow Squadron, Top Hats Marching Orchestra Band, Rameses Shrine Drum Corps, York Lions Steel Band, Streetsville Pipes & Drums, Toronto Signals Trumpet Band, the Philippine Heritage Band and Falun Gong.  Joining the line up for 2011 is the Optimist Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps.

This year’s parade will have you dancing, clapping, cheering, tapping and, most of all, will have you similing.  Thank you to our community builders – the sponsors and donors of the Mississauga Santa Claus Parade.  Smiles just wouldn’t be possible without you.

Come ‘smile, laugh, dance and sing’ at Mississauga’s Santa Claus Parade on Sunday, November 27, 2011, arrive early, many streets in Streetsville will be closed, including Queen Street.  Consider travelling to Streetsville by Mississauga Transit or carpooling is recommended.

Parade starts at the north end of Queen Street, from Britannia Road, moving south along Queen Street to Old Station Road.  This year we have many unique food vendors offering Greek food, Cinnamon Tails, Tiny Tom donuts and always our favourite fries, hot dogs, candy floss and popcorn – bring an appetite!

Rogers TV will broadcast the parade December 3rd at 2:00 p.m. and will repeat the broadcast many times up to Christmas Day.
